LDP Nomination Form

As we begin forming the new leadership team for next year, thank you for your help in getting the process started by nominating members for leadership positions. Thank you for prayerfully and thoughtfully participating in this process. Nominations are due by January 31, 2008. Please think about people whose gifts have been a blessing to you. Self-nominations are also welcome.

As you nominate, we would ask you to keep in mind that God calls us by standards that are quite different from the ones commonly used in the world. Whereas the world looks for natural leaders, God looks for spiritual leaders. We do not expect leaders at Cornerstone to be perfect, we do ask that they be open to the leading and molding of God.

While natural leaders are characterized by the following traits: self-confident, know people, make their own decisions, ambitious, originate own methods, enjoy commanding others, motivated by personal considerations, independent, spiritual leaders on the other hand are marked by these characteristics: confident in God, know people and also know God, seek to find God’s will, self-effacing, find and follow God’s methods, delight to obey God, motivated by love for God and people, God-dependent.

We hope that you will use this nomination form to help us identify people who are now, or have the potential to become, spiritual leaders.
